Consultations & Walk-Throughs

4. Do you offer consultations?

- Answer all your gardening questions.

-Help you choose the right flowers, plants, and decor for your space.

-Recommend the best types of fertilizer, weed control, mulch, and other materials for your specific needs.

5. How do I get a quote for your services?

It depends on the service!

For fine gardening services (like planting, pruning, weeding, and maintenance), we work and charge by the hour per gardener we have on your project.

We’re happy to work within your budget, if you have a specific amount you’d like to stay under (e.g., $300), we’ll plan our time accordingly to ensure we don’t exceed it. While we can’t guarantee that everything on your list will be completed within the budget, we’ll absolutely prioritize your most important tasks and do our best to make the most of your time!

For garden design and porch design, we offer tiered pricing depending on the designer and scope of the project. During a consultation, we can discuss your needs and recommend the best option for you.

To get started, simply schedule a consultation, and we’ll provide all the details!

Simply fill out our contact form, or send us an email at bloomandweed@gmail.com. Let us know your availability, and we’ll set up a time that works for you!

------------

7. Can I just text or call with a quick question?

We’re happy to help with a truly quick question, like clarifying a service we offer or confirming our availability. However, if your question involves detailed advice, planning, or multiple follow-ups, we recommend booking a consultation. This ensures we can give your garden the time and attention it deserves without rushing through answers.

Please note: We respond to messages and calls Monday through Thursday, 9am–5pm. If you reach out outside these hours, we’ll get back to you during our next business day.

Design Services

8. Do you offer garden design services?

Yes! We have three designers with different offerings:

  • Britten creates full, detailed garden plans, including sketches, sourcing lists, and plant lists. She handles larger projects and full garden overhauls.

  • Jennie offers smaller-scale design with oversight from Bloom & Weed. Great for clients who want a thoughtful design but don't need a full-scale overhaul.

  • Not ready for a full design? Rachel offers plant lists, mood boards, and garden coaching sessions to help you get started on your own. Just reach out and let her know what you're looking for!

------------

9. Who should I choose for my garden design project?
It depends on the size and scope of your project. If you want a complete overhaul with sketches and sourcing, choose Britten. If you have a smaller project or want a simpler design, choose Jennie. If you just want a plant list, mood board, or coaching to do it yourself, choose Rachel. We can help you decide during your walk-through!

Maintenance & Materials

10. Do you provide ongoing maintenance?

Absolutely! We offer regular maintenance options to keep your garden looking its best year-round. Contact us for more details.

------------

11. Do you provide mulch, plants, or other materials?

Clients are responsible for providing their own materials, such as mulch, compost, plants, and decor.

We provide the labor to get the job done! However, we're happy to make recommendations for products and where to find them. We also offer shopping assistance and sourcing services to help you find exactly what you need.

For larger projects: We can also provide recommendations for other providers, including landscapers for hardscaping, arborists for tree work, and companies for larger mulch delivery (over 8 cubic yards).

Just let us know how we can help during your consultation or appointment!

------------

12. Can you recommend other providers for larger jobs?
Yes! We can recommend landscapers for hardscaping, arborists for tree work, and companies for larger mulch delivery (over 8 cubic yards). Just ask!

------------

13. What kind of edging do you do?

We use professional edging tools to create clean, defined edges along your garden beds, walkways, and other landscaped areas. This type of edging gives your garden a polished, well-maintained look by separating the lawn from the beds and preventing grass from creeping into your garden.

Please note: We focus on functional edging and do not offer hardscaping services (like installing stone, metal, or plastic borders). However, we’re happy to recommend Landscapers that do offer those services if you’re interested in more permanent edging solutions!

------------

Watering & Plant Care

11. Do you offer watering services?

Yes! If you're going out of town or just need a little extra help keeping your garden hydrated, we offer watering services. Just let us know and we'll build a package that works for you.

------------

12. Do you guarantee plants will survive after planting?

No, plant health depends on many factors outside our control (weather, soil, pests, watering, etc.). We'll give you care instructions, but we don't guarantee plant survival. Some nurseries offer their own warranties, check with them!
